The On the Go Pouch in Midnight and Champagne on a sandstone ledge at the beach
For GLP-1 medications

Your pen lives in the fridge. Your life doesn't.

An insulated handbag with a complete injection kit inside, for the weeks your injection day doesn't happen at home.

Most weeks, your injection happens at home, in five minutes, straight from the fridge. This bag isn't for those weeks.

It's for the other ones. The long weekend at the coast. The flight to see family. The night injection day lands on a birthday dinner. The summer road trip where your medication needs to stay cool and stay with you.

We'd rather tell you that plainly than sell you something you'll use every day and don't need. The On the Go Pouch is a travel and occasion companion, and it's very good at that job.

When it earns its place

Every time your medication leaves home.

Friday to Sunday

A weekend away

Pens, spare needles, alcohol wipes and a sharps container, packed in one bag that sits in your luggage or on your shoulder.

Injection day, 7pm

Dinner out

It looks like a crossbody handbag. Step away, do your injection, and come back to the table. No one needs to know.

Carry-on

Flying

Made for travel. Your medication stays with you in the cabin, cool and organised, instead of in checked luggage.

Any place, any time

Prepare anywhere

Unzip it on its strap and it opens flat, with everything in reach. No bench needed. Setting it down? The wipe-clean mat gives you a clean surface anywhere.

Your whole injection kit. Disguised as a handbag.

Discreet by design

Vegan leather in Midnight or Champagne. It reads as a handbag, not a medical kit.

Two insulated pockets

Help keep medication cool, with two gel ice packs included.

Opens 180°, hands-free

Unzips flat and stays on its strap, so you can prepare your injection without finding a bench or table.

Everything in its place

Elastic loops and pockets sized for pens, needle tips, vials, alcohol wipes and bandaids.

In the box: the pouch, an injection preparation mat, 2 gel ice packs, a 250 ml and a 150 ml travel sharps container, an adjustable crossbody strap and a velvet dust bag.

Made for travel

Take it on the plane

The On the Go Pouch fits easily in your carry-on, so your medication, needles and sharps container travel together and stay organised. Your medication should stay with you in the cabin. Don't pack it in checked luggage, where you can't control its temperature or handling.

Rules for carrying medication, needles and sharps containers differ between airlines and countries. Always check with your airline before you fly, and carry your prescription or a letter from your doctor.

Why it's different

Most medication cases are built for one pen. You're carrying a routine.

The cases you'll find online are made to hold a pen and an ice pack. The injection itself, the prep, the used needle, still has nowhere to go.

Heat and your medication

Keeping your pen cool in an Australian summer

GLP-1 pens are temperature sensitive. Unopened pens are generally stored in the fridge, and a pen in use can usually sit at room temperature for a limited number of days, which differs between medications. What a pen can't handle is heat or freezing.

In the warmer months, a few hours away from the fridge go quickly. The pouch's insulated pockets and gel ice packs help keep your medication cool while you're out, and because it's a handbag, it stays with you rather than sitting in the sun.

It isn't a fridge. It works best kept with you, in the shade, and returned to the fridge as soon as you're home. Never leave it, or your medication, in a hot car.

Our founder learned this the hard way. During one of her IVF cycles in Queensland, her medication overheated in the car and stopped working as it should. It's one of the reasons the On the Go Pouch exists.

2–8°C

The fridge. Where unopened pens generally live.

≤30°C

Room temperature. Many in-use pens can be kept here for a set number of days. Check your medicine's leaflet for how long.

30°C+

Too warm. Direct sun and hot days outdoors. Keep your pen out of the heat.

0°C

Frozen. Never freeze your pen, and don't let an ice pack sit directly against it.

From our founder
"I designed the On the Go Pouch after six rounds of IVF, four of them interstate, and one memorable injection in a bathroom at The Gabba. The medication was different, but the problems are the same for any injection needed on the go: keep it cool, carry it discreetly, and prepare it somewhere clean."

Questions

Before you buy

Will it hold my pen?

The pouch is designed for pen-style injectables, vials and needles, with elastic loops and pockets inside. It measures 28 cm wide, 19 cm high and 7 cm deep when closed. If you're unsure about your pen, email hello@ivydayz.au and we'll help.

Do I need this if I inject at home every week?

Honestly, not for those weeks. Your pen is best kept in the fridge. The pouch is for travel, overnight stays, and days when injection day happens away from home.

Can I take it on a plane?

Yes. The On the Go Pouch is made for travel and sits easily in your carry-on. Keep your medication with you in the cabin rather than in checked luggage, where you can't control its temperature or handling. Rules for carrying medication, needles and sharps containers differ between airlines and countries, so always check with your airline before you fly, and carry your prescription or a letter from your doctor.

Will the ice packs freeze my medication?

Don't let a frozen gel pack sit directly against your pen. Use the insulated pockets so there's a layer between them, and follow the storage directions for your medicine.

How do I clean it?

Wipe the outside and the preparation mat with an alcohol-based wipe. We recommend wiping the mat before and after each use. It isn't suitable for the washing machine or tumble dryer.

Life doesn't pause for your injection day. Neither should you.

Everything you need to inject away from home, in a bag you'll actually want to carry.
